SONIFI Solutions , the leading end-to-end interactive content and connectivity solutions provider for the hospitality and healthcare industries, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Staff Attorney . This is a full-time, exempt position.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a talented attorney to support an established legal team in suppor! ting the legal work in conjunction with special growth initiatives of our business. The ideal candidate is a recent law graduate, with excellent academic credentials and a demonstrated ability to learn new business and legal concepts quickly. Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Contract Administration: Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including sales agreements for our healthcare business.
- Regulatory/Government Affairs: Perform research related to pending or proposed laws and regulation at the state and federal level; prepare summaries as requested; monitor the status of proposed laws or regulations; assist in the implementation of regulatory participation, including identification of opportunities for formal participation and assistance in the preparation and filing of formal comments as a part of state or federal rulemaking processes. Perform interdisciplinary ! research as necessary in support of regulatory and government ! affairs efforts.
- Policy Development/Compliance Management: Assist supervising counsel in the development of policies and compliance frameworks as a part of company risk management. Assist in the drafting, dissemination and development of training as such training is required for compliance with laws and/or regulations related to the conduct of company business. Support inter-departmental formulation and implementation of policy.
- Support corporate record-keeping on interim risk assessments and compliance response.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Juris Doctorate degree., admission to a state bar and 0-3 years of experience in an in-house corporate law department or law firm.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills required.
- Excellent research skills (W! estlaw preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all members of cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service approach/mindset with outstanding people skills and a sense of humor.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, project management and analytical skills.
- Must be able to independently handle projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to travel 25% of the time and availability to do what it takes âto get the work doneâ a must.
- Ability to cultivate strong client relationships with varied business groups, including sales, product, finance, marketing IT and engineering teams, in a fast-paced innovative culture.
- Hard-working and able to manage numerous projects and teams simultaneously under deadline pressure, demonstrated ability to learn quickly, ! act collaboratively and take initiative.
