SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer supports all creative initiatives across retail, traditional marketing, digital marketing, and events by conceptualizing, designing and executing visually engaging output through print collateral, advertising, promotional materials, in-store signage, and other visual communications.

Our Store Support Center is located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040.
HYBRID:
Candidates must be able to be onsite in Commerce, CA up to three (3) days a week based upon business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Executes brand guidelines in accordance with brand standards across all channels
- Maintains a thorough understanding of our brands and their values in order to create designs that effectively communicate our message to our target audience
- Updates and develops our brands identities as necessary to keep them fresh and relevant in a rapidly changing market
- Maintains graphic design standards and ensures that the work adheres to a high level of excellence
- Utilizes design resources and follow guidelines across the organization
- Collaborates on design projects with teammates and other business partners
- Assists with design projects from concept to completion, development, QA, and implementation
- Stays current with design industry trends and is knowledgeable with basic design principles
- Follows guidelines for file organization and naming conventions
- Manages multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meets deadlines
- Effortlessly communicates with other team members, stakeholders and upper management
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA in Graphic Design or related degree/education preferred. Must have 2+ years of design experience in an agency or client-side setting, with a focus on retail marketing and branding.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Must have experience working in a retail environment and a strong understanding of retail marketing and branding
- Solid understanding of Hispanic culture, values and customer behavior
- Should be a self-starter, with the ability to work under minimum supervision and prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities while meeting strict deadlines
- Proven capability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing graphics and other deliverables that resonate with our target audiences
- Demonstrated ability to:

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both languages. Responsible for creating designs that resonate with our diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking customers.
- Proficiency in creating designs that resonate with our Spanish-speaking customer base and effectively communicate our brand message in Spanish.
- Ability to translate marketing materials and design assets from English to Spanish, and vice versa, as needed.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Must possess exceptional computer skills and have significant experience with printed collateral design, print production skills, digital design principles and techniques and a solid understanding of UI and UX design and be able to create designs that are optimized for user engagement.
- Macintosh operating platform a must. PC knowledge a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of the following software applications is required: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
- Video editing skills and knowledge of After Effects and Premier Pro are a plus
- Ability to use Sketchup or another 3D software would be an asset
- Mastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces (i.e., attention to detail).
- Comprehensive computer photo-retouching and image development skills.
- Demonstrated complete understanding of:
- Color theory and color relationships.
- Typographic terms that identify type forms and the specifications required to refer to typographic settings (i.e., points, leading, picas, kerning, tracking, cap-height, x-height etc.).
- Perspective and space relationships.
- Page composition and grid structures.
- Print production process, knowledge of production techniques.
- Photography and the photographic process.
Salary Expectation: $54,000.00 to $70,000.00 annually.
