Description: University of Oklahoma is at present recruited Post-doctoral Fellow in the Neurobiology of Taste right now, this job will be placed in South Dakota. An NIH-funded post-doctoral fellow position in the study of taste neurobiology is available in the laboratory of Dr. C. Lemon, in the Department of Biology at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. The research and training focus for this position pertains to gustatory information processing in the nervous system, and how taste interacts with the sense of oral touch during flavor coding. The training of the post-doctoral fellow will focus on single-unit electrophysiological recording in the central nervous system of mice,! including genetically targeted mouse lines. The lab is also e! quipped to support gustatory and oral sensory behavioral testing in rodents. Projects undertaken by the fellow will depend on their interests, background, and goals.
Candidates with training in the study of sensory systems that includes in vivo electrophysiology, rodent behavioral assays, neuroanatomical tracing techniques, or molecular neurobiology are strongly encouraged to apply. Proficiency with MATLAB or other programming environments is highly desirable.
Qualified candidates will have earned a Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Psychology, or a related field with an emphasis on sensory information processing. Interested applicants should apply electronically using this link:
