With 55 offices and over 740 attorneys, Jackson Lewis is seeking an ERISA Associate for the Rapid City office. Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide advice and counsel to employers concerning the plan document and operational compliance aspects of ERISA employee pension and welfare benefits plans; executive compensation arrangements and the federal tax issues relating to same.• Participate in the growth of an ESOP transaction and operational compliance practic! e• Defend employers against Internal Revenue Service; Health! and Human Services; and Department of Labor audits; ERISA plan litigation; and in defense of penalties imposed under Federal tax laws, ERISA and Affordable Care Act.• Conduct due diligence reviews of employee benefit plans, executive compensation arrangements and payroll practices• Drafting employee benefits, executive compensation and defined compensation plans• Appear and litigate in federal courts and the US Tax Court on ERISA and federal tax litigation matters- .
