We seek a Vice President / Senior Trust Officer interes! ted in growing his or her career with an established, yet nimb! le Trust Company. The Trust Officer we seek will lead a three-person office, manage and develop trust accounts and client relationships, and apply legal-focused trust and investment knowledge in a diverse and entrepreneurial role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manages trust operations for our South Dakota office
-Contacts, corresponds, advises, and resolves complex problems with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, CPAs, portfolio managers, and other professionals in the course of administration of accounts
- Represents Cornerstone Trust in business related activities and creates and retains business relationships
- Identifies potential for new business opportunities
- Serves as trust subject-matter expert
- Works with business partners to resolve risk management issues
- Coordinates with Investment Officers in the receipt, valuation, review , and disposition of all assets as needed or required
- Obtains, revi! ews and maintains appropriate documentation on accounts
- Authorizes discretionary and non-discretionary payments
- Manages all tax and legal activities related to the accounts
- Responsible for the success of the client relationship, managing the client review process and managing the client experience
If you are an established Trust Officer looking for a fresh and client-focused approach to the business, we look forward to hearing from you. Qualified candidates will have 7+ years of trust experience along with industry certifications and related education (CTFA, BS or BA, or MBA or JD). Successful candidates bring expertise in trusts, fiduciary law and South Dakota Trust law, are skilled in reading and interpreting trust documentation and managing trust operations along with a drive to build and service clientele. Light regional travel, required.
