Lakarya is seeking a self-motivated Test Engineer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for one of our client. As a member of our Agile testing team, you will support several complex and high-volume customer systems. The ideal candidate would have experience testing RESTful services and API’s.
Responsibilities:
- Working as a member of a scrum team to develop, execute high quality reusable test cases for Microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API’s
- Perform tasks required for manual and automated test implementation including review acceptance criteria (Cucumber/Gherkin scripts), create integration/regression test scenarios, test cases, implement test data management strategy, and generate required reports in JIRA
- Contributing within a SAFe environment including the Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog grooming, Sprint/System Demos, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2+ of related experience testing REST, JSON, and backend APIs (SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- U.S. Citizen with existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of with common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, Node.js, jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.)
- Experience working in a Database and running mySQL queries
- Ability to write and execute automated test scripts
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
