Legal Assistant

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcomes clients, visitors and vendors to office and notifies appropriate parties of their arrival
• Answer incoming calls to the main phone line and route calls appropriately
• Provide secretarial support to multiple attorneys
• Preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings, memoranda and various written communications
• Draft Excel documents and PowerPoint presentations
• Maintain calendars and schedule travel arrangements
• Review and delivery of incoming mail, faxes and package deliveries
• Delivery of afternoon mail and coordination of package pick up with Federal Express
• Responsible for office supplies and marketing brochures inventory
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned including file maintenance, photocopying and scanning
• Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exer! cise sound judgment
• High School Diploma or equivalent!
• Minimum of 2 years law office experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by organizing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis
• Proficient in MS Office Products, including Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills
• Must be punctual with excellent attendance
• Must have a professional demeanor and appearance
• Proactive work ethic
