Professional License (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) or certified as a Level II or III Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor required. Trainees and Level I Dependency Counselor to be supervised by Level II or Level III Dependency Counselor. Ability to work under pressure and able to relate well to patients, security, visitors and co-workers Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Must obtain and maintain security clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification

Job Description:
Assists in coordinating, planning, implementing an! d facilitating Detox programs for patients/referrals. Assists ! in formulation of policies for the Detoxification Programs to include utilization and evaluation of services. Provides a program of psychological treatment for referral clients and participates with physician/team planning for continued care in specific treatment model. Utilize behavioral assessment tools and make appropriate referral recommendations. Assist with staff/student on the job training/orientation. Assesses the client’s psychological condition on an ongoing basis and recognizes the significance of changes and modifies the treatment plan appropriately. Communicates effectively with client, family, team members, physicians, staff, attorneys and other agencies. Maintains accurate and concise records by documenting promptly all groups and pertinent data. Proficiently utilizes the SD STARS system for data reporting and billing. Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with clients during individual sessions and in groups. Assists with the analysis, collec! tion of data for Performance Improvement as directed. Communicates information to other nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel and other staff as necessary. Respects dignity and confidentiality of patients. Attends mandatory staff meetings by supervisor. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service to patients typically age young adolescent through geriatric. May be required to supervise Trainee or Level I Chemical Dependency Counselor(s). CCS is an EEO Employer
