Telephone Service Representative

Duties include:
- answering questions from license examiners, attorneys, insurance agents, employers, etc. (average of 60 calls per day);
- informing the public about license requirements, documents needed, driver licensing fees, and other licensing information;
- sending letter to individuals who have had their license suspended or revoked;
- issuing driving records out of the office;
- tracking licenses when they are surrendered;
- administratively suspending licenses.

Knowledge of:
- computer operation including email and web browsers;
- applicable manual or computer reference systems;
- telephone etiquette.
Ability to:
- provide timely and accurate information to customers;
- communicate effectively;
- remain calm and act accordingly in difficult and stressful situations;
- multi-task.
