Position Overview:

Under supervision of the Manager of the Emergency Department or shift Charge Nurse, performs necessary clerical duties that include facilitating communication in the department. Assisting with communication between transfer center, consulting physicians and agencies, and hospital staff. Keeping data on department flow and assisting with other clerical duties as assigned. Coordinating interdepartmental and visitor communications, thereby assuring smooth efficient operation of the Unit. Interacts with various hospital personnel, patients, and families utilizing excellent customer service skills while maintaining confidentiality.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• Experience in customer service and exhibit excellent customer service skills in previous positions.

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Communication and guest relations skills.

Pay Range is $25.09 to $30.59 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
